Dear Dr.

I am pleased to announce that I have recently completed intensive training in the Chao Pinhole Surgical Technique (PST). I am now certified to offer this proven minimally invasive alternative for the treatment of gum recession. This technique was specifically designed to stop recession and achieve root coverage without cutting, sutures, or harvesting tissue from the palate!

Your patients that have been reluctant to seek treatment for their gum recession due to fear of pain, swelling , lost time from work or harvesting tissue from their palate now have a wonderful alternative.

PST Pinhole Surgical Technique is a cutting edge minimally invasive technique supported by a 33month long histology study published in  October, 2012 issue of The International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, a high-impact, peer-review journal.

Through a small pinhole made by a needle, we utilize specially designed instruments to gently loosen the gum tissue and glide it over the receded part of the tooth. Because there is no cutting or stitching, patients can expect minimal post-operative symptoms (pain, swelling and bleeding). Most patients are pleasantly surprised by the instant cosmetic improvement.

PST is revolutionizing the way we treat Gum Recession!

Less pain, less swelling, less downtime, less discomfort, and faster results will make for happier, healthier patients. For too long we have battled with low patient acceptance due to fear and discomfort. We all have patients that have decided to live with their black triangles, and exposed roots because they were not willing to go through with the proposed treatment.

We are currently scheduling patients for PST and would be delighted to speak with you regarding any potential candidate that you may have. If you have any questions regarding this technique in encourage you to reach out to me and I would be more than happy to go over any and all information associated with this surgery.

 Sincerely,

Lawrence Nurin, DDS
